Are the rides right for me?
As long as you can pedal, balance and steer, you are welcome on our rides! We have a team of friendly and supportive Ride Leaders who run the rides and make sure that everyone is taken care of.

We ride at a gentle, sociable pace with plenty of chatting and time to enjoy our surroundings. All our rides have a cafe stop which is also an opportunity to get to know your fellow sisters as well as enjoying some tea and cake.

Our Hackney group rides are mostly intermediate rides (6-12 miles). Typical destinations include Clissold Park, Walthamstow Wetlands and Olympic Park.
Do I need my own bike?

Free bikes are available to borrow for our group rides, thanks to our partnership with Hackney Council and Brompton.

How to join

Cycle Lessons

We offer free 1 to 1 cycle lessons in partnership with Cycle Confident and Hackney Council.

Whether you are a complete beginner who can't yet balance, or a regular cyclist looking to improve your skills, the sessions are tailored to your individual abilities and goals - there is something for everyone.

Email hackney@cyclesisters.org.uk to find out more about cycle lessons.

"The sisters were supportive so I felt at ease, relaxed, safe and realised how important this was. Everyone is so warm and friendly that I don’t feel judged in any way and it has really boosted my self esteem”
