Communications & Media Lead

This exciting new role will help us to raise our profile, increase our reach and position Cycle Sisters to build new partnerships that will enable us continue our mission to inspire and enable Muslim women to cycle.

The Communications & Media Lead will be responsible for leading on all our publicity work including media, events, digital and social media, marketing and stakeholder communications.

We're looking for someone with experience across a broad range of communications activities and channels who has the ability to tell compelling stories through written communications and public speaking.  You'll need to be able to work well independently with minimal support and juggle a diverse workload.  A passion for cycling (or sport more broadly) and a good understanding and ability to represent Muslim communities publically will also be essential.

Please note that we are only able to accept applications from female applicants due to the nature of our organisation and cause including the fact that the successful candidate would be required to interact with, represent and work within women-only spaces.

For more information about the role and details about how to apply, download the Role Description.

The deadline for applications is midnight, Monday 1st January 2024.

“Cycle Sisters has made a visible difference - there are noticeably more Muslim women on bikes

which challenges stereotypes and therefore has a wider impact”

Stella Creasy, MP for Walthamstow
