Newham

Our Cycle Sisters Newham group runs rides on Sunday mornings. Rides meet at 9.15am for a 9.30am start and generally return by 12pm.

As long as you can pedal, balance and steer, you are welcome on our rides! We have a team of friendly and supportive Ride Leaders who run the rides and make sure that everyone is safe and taken care of.  We ride at a gentle, sociable pace with plenty of chatting and time to enjoy our surroundings. All our rides have a cafe stop which is also an opportunity to get to know your fellow sisters as well as enjoying some tea and cake!

Booking is essential for all our rides and details are posted on  our WhatsApp group - email newham@cyclesisters.org.uk to be added to our WhatsApp group.

Our Newham group rides start from the UCL building (1 Pool Street) .  We have a limited number of free bikes (thanks to Sustrans) available to lend out for rides.

Our Newham group generally have beginner rides (up to 6 miles) at the start of the month, followed by intermediate rides (6-12 miles) and challenge rides (over 12 miles) at the end of the month. Typical destinations include Victoria Park, Wanstead Park and Walthamstow Wetlands.

The Newham group was set up with the support of London Sport and Newham Council.

"Since joining Cycle Sisters I have improved in cycling however I have achieved so much more than this - after many years of suffering from chronic health conditions, I feel more confident, less anxious, less isolated and happy!"
