91 women take part in 6 week lockdown challenge

The Smiles & Miles challenge launched on 16th January 2021 saw 91 women and their families sign up and set a personal miles target to work towards over 6 weeks.

The challenge aimed to support and motivate our members to keep cycling during the lockdown and winter weather alongside all the challenges of home schooling and other commitments.

Each week we shared the individual and Cycle Sisters groups leaderboards on our WhatsApp groups and social media as well as a 'photo of the week' celebrating the amazing achievements and progress made during the challenge. There were heart-warming and beautiful stories that emerged of individual personal achievements, sisterhood and team spirit.

To celebrate International Women's Day, we announced the incredible winners of the Smiles & Miles prize categories:

  • Highest Miles - Zameera Khan (Cycle Sisters Redbridge) with 1331.9 miles

  • Highest Indoor Miles - Zainab Arian (Cycle Sisters Waltham Forest & Newham) with 535.7 miles

  • Cycle Sisters Ride Leader with Highest Miles - Jasmin Dragoni (Cycle Sisters Waltham Forest) with 849.4 miles

  • Best Photo - Shaba Noore-Parvin (Cycle Sisters Redbridge)

  • Best Family Photo - Salma Rahman (Cycle SIsters Hackney)
